The Jia Wei modification is used when additional Heat-clearing and detoxifying actions are needed alongside Damp-Heat resolution.
Signs & Symptoms: Yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice), dark or scanty urine, fatigue, loss of appetite, abdominal distension, nausea, bitter taste in the mouth, possible right upper abdominal discomfort, loose stools or sticky stools, a yellow or greasy tongue coating, and a slippery or rapid pulse.
