Indications: Heart and Kidney Yin deficiency with deficient Heat, often associated with insomnia, anxiety, palpitations, and mental restlessness. Commonly used for conditions involving depletion of Yin leading to internal Heat disturbing the Shen (spirit).
Signs & Symptoms: Insomnia or difficulty staying asleep, vivid dreams, anxiety or restlessness, palpitations, memory issues, irritability, possible night sweats, dry mouth and throat, dizziness, tinnitus, a red tongue with little or no coating, and a thin, rapid pulse.
Actions of the Main Herbs: The formula nourishes Heart and Kidney Yin, clears deficient Heat, and calms the Shen. It helps to anchor and stabilize the spirit while replenishing depleted fluids and Yin.
