Gou Qi Zi (Lycium fruit) nourishes Liver and Kidney Yin, nourishes Blood, replenishes Essence, and supports eye health and visual function.
Ju Hua (Chrysanthemum flower) clears Liver Heat, disperses Wind-Heat, and benefits the eyes, helping relieve redness, irritation, and blurred vision associated with Liver Heat.
Ze Xie (Alisma rhizome) drains Dampness and promotes urination, helping prevent excessive accumulation of Dampness from the rich, nourishing tonic herbs.
Mu Dan Pi (Moutan root bark) clears Heat, cools the Blood, and reduces deficiency Heat, balancing the astringent properties of Shan Zhu Yu.
Fu Ling (Poria) strengthens the Spleen, drains Dampness, and supports digestive function, helping balance the rich properties of the tonic herbs.
