Indications:
Spleen Qi deficiency with Dampness, leading to poor digestion and fluid metabolism, including chronic loose stools, fatigue, and weakness of the digestive system.
Signs & Symptoms:
Loose stools or chronic diarrhea, poor appetite, abdominal distension, fatigue, weakness, pale complexion, shortness of breath, spontaneous sweating, possible edema, a feeling of heaviness in the body, a pale tongue with a white or greasy coating, and a weak or soggy pulse.
Actions of the Main Herbs:
Ren Shen / Dang Shen (Ginseng root) strongly tonifies Spleen Qi and supports overall vitality.
Bai Zhu (Atractylodes rhizome) strengthens the Spleen and dries Dampness, improving digestion and fluid transformation.
Fu Ling (Poria) promotes urination, leaches Dampness, and supports Spleen function.
Shan Yao (Dioscorea root) tonifies the Spleen and nourishes Yin, helping with chronic diarrhea and weakness.
Bai Bian Dou (Hyacinth bean) strengthens the Spleen and transforms Dampness, supporting digestion.
