Indications:
External Dampness affecting the Interior, often with concurrent Spleen and Stomach disharmony, including digestive upset associated with damp weather, travel, or mild external pathogenic factors.
Signs & Symptoms:
Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, poor appetite, a feeling of fullness in the chest and epigastrium, headache, dizziness, fatigue, chills or mild fever, a heavy sensation in the body, and a greasy tongue coating with a soggy or slippery pulse.
Actions of the Main Herbs:
Huo Xiang (Agastache/Patchouli herb) transforms Dampness, harmonizes the Middle Jiao, and relieves nausea.
Zi Su Ye (Perilla leaf) releases the exterior and helps regulate Qi, supporting relief of mild external symptoms with digestive involvement.
Bai Zhi (Angelica root) disperses wind and alleviates headache and sinus-related symptoms.
