Indications:
Kidney Yin deficiency with insufficient nourishing and cooling functions, including symptoms related to depletion of Yin fluids such as dryness, internal heat, and deficiency-related weakness.
Signs & Symptoms:
Lower back and knee soreness or weakness, dizziness, tinnitus, night sweats, dry mouth and throat, heat sensations in the palms, soles, and chest (five-center heat), insomnia or restless sleep, poor memory, a red tongue with little or no coating, and a thin or weak pulse.
Actions of the Main Herbs:
Shu Di Huang (Prepared Rehmannia root) strongly nourishes Kidney Yin, replenishes Essence (Jing), and supports foundational vitality.
Shan Zhu Yu (Cornus fruit) tonifies the Liver and Kidney, stabilizes and preserves Essence, and helps prevent further depletion.
