Indications:
Phlegm accumulation due to Spleen dysfunction and Dampness, including cough with phlegm, chest and epigastric fullness, nausea, and digestive sluggishness associated with internal Damp-Phlegm.
Signs & Symptoms:
Cough with copious white, sticky, or thin phlegm, chest congestion, shortness of breath, nausea or vomiting of phlegm, epigastric or abdominal fullness, bloating, poor appetite, a heavy or sticky sensation in the body, dizziness or a sense of heaviness in the head, a greasy tongue coating, and a slippery pulse.
Actions of the Main Herbs:
Ban Xia (Pinellia rhizome) dries Dampness, transforms Phlegm, and harmonizes the Stomach, helping relieve nausea and congestion.
Chen Pi (Tangerine peel) regulates Qi, dries Dampness, and improves digestion, helping move stagnation and reduce fullness.
Fu Ling (Poria) strengthens the Spleen, leaches Dampness, and supports fluid metabolism, addressing the root cause of phlegm formation.
Gan Cao (Licorice root) harmonizes the formula, supports the Spleen and Stomach, and moderates the actions of the other herbs.
Dosage & Course of Treatment:
