An Shen Ding Zhi Wan
Indications:
Anxiety, palpitations, insomnia, and emotional instability associated with Heart and Gallbladder deficiency.
Signs & Symptoms:
Timidity, fearfulness, easily startled, lack of confidence, indecisiveness, palpitations, insomnia (especially difficulty falling asleep), excessive dreaming, poor memory, mental restlessness, fatigue, shortness of breath, and a pale tongue with a thin or weak pulse.
Actions of the Main Herbs:
Fu Ling (Poria) calms the spirit and strengthens the Spleen, helping to reduce anxiety and support mental clarity.
Fu Shen (Poria with hostwood) specifically enters the Heart to शांत the mind and is commonly used for palpitations and insomnia.
Ren Shen (Ginseng) tonifies Qi, supports the Heart and Spleen, and improves mental function and resilience to stress.
